Recorded throughout covid 2020 lockdowns during a period of intense pressure — business shutdowns, fractured relationships, police scrutiny, and the weight of impending fatherhood — music became a necessary outlet for Jonesy to vent through.

The project features 22 unreleased songs, all heavy, aggressive, and emotionally charged. The recordings remain deliberately unpolished and fairly raw yet have been recently remastered.

The material was never officially released as Jonesy stepped away between 2020 and 2023 to rebuild his life which had fell apart after battling addiction to weed and alcohol throughout lockdowns. As his sound and skill evolved, these tracks no longer represented his current direction or represented his current skill level — but he feels true fans deserve to hear this side of him.

Lockdown: The Lost Tapes Vol.1 is a time capsule for a period that sculpted Jonesy into the artist he is today; Hungry for success with a relentless drive to make a career out of music.
